Dr. Jamie (Fuller) Hutchcraft is a licensed clinical psychologist (#PSY31351) and co-founder of Serenity Family Practice on California's central coast.  After earning her bachelor's degree from UCLA, she went on to pursue her master's degree, and subsequently, achieved her PhD from Fielding Graduate University in clinical psychology.

In addition to traditional talk therapy within the welcoming walls of her private practice, Jamie offers a "boutique-style" option for treatment, including in-home visits, nature therapy, or simply a "you call it!" motto regarding preference of location.  This option allows patients to optimize personal comfort, utilize their time more efficiently, and/or receive any physical and/or mental health accommodations that might contribute to therapeutic commitment, consistency, and cadence.

Jamie's education combined with both personal and professional experience, has lead to specializations in women's wellness and maternal mental health, trauma treatment, and the widespread manifestation of anxiety and depression across demographics. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and small groups. Jamie has also worked as an associate professor in the Psychology and Child Development Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and provides continuing education opportunities for students and professionals seeking further enrichment within the field of mental health.

Jamie's clinical experience includes various mental health challenges and associated environments including psychiatric institutions, correctional facilities, child and elder protective services, education, county mental health, drug and alcohol programs, community-based non-profit counseling centers, and private practice. Her eclectic treatment approach is tailored to each individual case, utilizing modalities drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, mindfulness-based therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, aversion therapy, and animal-assisted therapy.

Dr. (Fuller) Hutchcraft's collaborative approach to treatment aims to maximize community-level solidarity and support to enhance treatment efficacy and longevity regarding overall health, well-being, and quality of life for patients.  For a complimentary 10-20 minute consultation feel free to  call or text Jamie's confidential line at 805-709-8703.
